HGV Class 1 Driver - Tankers

📍 Location: Pontefract
💰 Salary: £44,264 per year
🕒 Contracted 48 hours/week (avg. 40 hours/week)
📅 Shift Pattern: Any 5 from 7 (usually Monday- Friday)

What You’ll Be Doing

Class 1 Duties:

  • Drive Class 1 tankers delivering bulk flour

  • Tanker experience helpful – but not essential

  • Daily vehicle checks

Class 2 Duties:

  • Drive curtain-sided vehicles delivering bagged flour

  • Manual handling of 16kg sacks required (some palletised deliveries using PPT/FLT)

  • Daily vehicle checks

All Roles Include:

  • Vehicle checks, defect reporting & compliance with driver hours/tachographs

  • Upholding food safety standards and hygiene during deliveries

  • Maintaining a clean vehicle

  • Delivering to customers in a friendly, professional manner

What You’ll Need

Valid Class 1 (C+E)

Valid CPC and Tacho
Physically fit – able to lift 16kg sacks
A good understanding of road safety, driver regulations & great customer service skills
